Mayor Todd Strange invites the public to attend the city’s official Christmas tree lighting ceremony beginning at 5 p.m. tonight at Lister Hill Plaza, located across from City Hall on North Perry Street.
The Montgomery City Council will meet following the ceremony, during which Mayor Strange will present certificates of recognition to the YMCA of Greater Montgomery Capital City Streaks U18 Girls team, along with coach Manny Sanchez, for winning the Alabama Soccer Association Division 1 State Cup. The team will compete in the U.S. Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championship on June 18-25, 2015.
