The City?s Montgomery Youth Initiative is hosting a free grant writing and fundraising workshop. The workshop is open to the public including faith-based and community nonprofit organizations. Registration is required to attend. Sessions will be presented by Auburn University Economic & Community Institute. For more information, call (334) 625-4740.

The Montgomery Youth Initiative is a partnership of local faith and community based organizations providing services, programs and opportunities to children and youth in the Montgomery area. MYI is managed by the City County Parks and Recreation. The program?s objectives are to maintain a directory of youth organizations; act as a clearing house of City/County support; offer recreation activities; encourage educational opportunities; initiate employment strategies; recommend juvenile rehabilitation programs and create pathways to environmental change.
